History

The LCEF was founded in June 2000 as a public, non- profit corporation with 501(c) (3) tax status. It is governed by a 20-member Board of Trustees, representing a cross section of the communities served by LDISD. 		concept

Concept

The LCEF provides for educational enrichment projects not otherwise available to LDISD. Funding resources include individuals, corporations, neighborhoods, educators and philanthropic organizations.
